That is Amanda Palmer, a very talented musician. She does not shave. Yup, you heard me right. She doesn’t shave her legs, her vagina or her underarms.
And you know what? That’s okay.
Our society has made us believe that all our female hair is disgusting and wrong and it has to be painfully waxed away.
But it doesn’t. We can keep it. If we want to.
And, I will let you in on a little secret I have learned recently, a lot of men find it to be a turn on! Can you believe that?! They like the feel and the look and they think it’s fine if you toss away your razor.
My point in this post is to make you question ALL society’s rules. Shaving, hair coloring, nail polish, high heels, makeup, size… everything.
I personally wear makeup and I adore high heels. And that makes it okay to wear them. If you don’t like them… then you should NOT feel obligated to wear them.
And the same goes for shaving. If you want to be hairy- be hairy. And do not be ashamed of it.
